Emissions Reduction Case Study - 2001 Lexus RX 300

Picture of Lexus on Dyno. Note the rear wheels on rollers. This is because the vehicle is an all wheel drive. That means that the power is transferred to the wheels with the least amount of traction. I know that sounds wrong but when the rear wheels are on the rollers it won't transfer the torque/horsepower to the front wheels which are the wheels on the Dyno  Max RPM in recognizing a market trend towards all wheel drive cars has installed a 4 wheel Dyno since this test. We hope to update these results in the future.

Explanation of Emissions Graphs

Test conditions: All emissions tests were run at a cruising speed of 60 MPH. The vehicle was run stock for 2 minutes at this speed. Then the Mileage Maxer unit was turned on.  All 4 gasses were tested simultaneously. We overlaid on the same graph the test results for each gas separately for easier viewing.

1. HC: Hydro Carbons

These are unburned fuels. This is what we can be rid of the easiest by creating a more flammable atmosphere for the combustion to take place in. We found that our emissions analyzer would only go to 10 parts per million during the zeroing procedure. We had just received it for testing we sent it back to the supplier and since we have received a new unit. But 10 is really zero!!

You will note, the results on the graph started at 70 and went up to about 90 with all components off. With the Mileage Maxer engaged the Hydro Carbons were just above 10, “0” and climbed to just over 20. The reason for the steady increase in both is because of the dynamometer. The vehicle took a steady increase in throttle to maintain 60 mph for the whole 2 minutes as the all wheel drive system was transferring the power to the rear wheels which were on free spinning rollers.  By the way, they were too hot to touch after our testing.

2. CO: Carbon Monoxide

This is the really bad stuff. This is the gas that will suffocate you. Note our graph where without Mileage Maxer, the CO’s ranged from just above .8 to above 1.3. Again the fluctuation in throttle was evident. But the amazing Mileage Maxer in Action reduces CO’s to ZERO. Even with the deviations caused by the dyno. TRULY, TRULY, TRULY… WOW!!!

3. CO2 Carbon Dioxide

This is the one everyone gets confused over.  We exhale CO2, plants need it to thrive and produce O2 Oxygen. The burning of hydrocarbons produce CO2. But as you can see, in our Graph, that a slight reduction occurs because less fuel is being used. About a 2%. That varies with driving conditions.

Remember the Green house effect that everyone talks about is viewed several ways. The buzz term is really quite accurate in its description as is evident in large cities such as L.A.

Gases build up under an atmospheric umbrella {Green House} keeping harmful pollutants near ground level.

From the ground level locals refer to it as low Fog. From San Bernadino it appears as a dark cloud over the valley. Depending on the sun light it can even be seen as Orange.

4. NOx: Nitrous Oxide

Our device, Mileage Maxer reduced the Nox from a varying 350 to 500  PPM{Parts per million} all the way down to steady 90 PPM

5. O2: Oxygen

Good. We kind of like this stuff (what can you say?). Look at the graph. The O2 ratio content is up about ½% and in this graph you can see what happens when you shut off the car: everything goes to zero, including the speedometer.
